さらば日本!(Farewell Japan!)
Meeting again some people I haven’t met for sometime in the farewell party, forced by a grandpa to have an after-party until 2 in the morning, sleepless morning busy packing up stuffs and cleaning up the room, a hot sweaty day; it all filled up my last 24 hours in Japan. After 3 years and 9 months living and working in this land of samurai, I finally left Japan.
What do I do after this? I am going to continue my study to Sweden. I’ll pursue further studies in the field of communication systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. There are several reasons why I choose to end my journey in Japan and continue the study to another new place. But let me not to talk about details on that. I’ve been wanting to continue the study since the undergraduate study. I feel that I’ve gain enough experience from almost 4 years living in Japan and I feel it is time for me to move on to other place. And then I found the chance to continue study to Sweden, so I decided to take it.
Things I like in Japan: very peaceful and safe place, almost all people obey rules, convenient and reliable public transportation system, clean environment, advanced technologies in daily life. Japan would be a perfect place to stay for me if only: the Japanese speaks English (thanks to my lack of motivation to master Japanese), the houses are more spacious and have yard, the average working hours per day for a man is not that extravagant, chili sauce can be found easily ;p.
It’s been a great 3 years 9 months journey for me, and it’s time for me to start a new chapter of my journey. さらば日本, farewell Japan! I’ll be missing some memories of you.
-Just before I took train to the airport, some friend asked when I will return to Fuchu. Jokingly, I replied I’ll come again with my family to show to my kids the place their father spent his years of youth ;p.

Kesempatan Mas kalau mau.
